Factum

The Office of Academic Planning has developed the Factum computerized system so that each faculty member can enter, edit and display data concerning their tasks and achievements such as: Academic Degrees, Publications, Creative Work, Service Activities, Professional Improvement, External Funds Proposals, Research and Thesis Advisory. Factum permits faculty members to maintain their information updated, allowing them to produce and maintain their Curriculum Vitae up to date as well as other reports that they must generally submit to their colleges at the end of a semester.

The data collected through Factum becomes part of the data warehouse called SAGA. SAGA generates information useful to the Campus to support the decision-making processes, assessment, evaluation of academic programs, achievements reports, development of proposals and annual report.

Access to this system is exclusively granted to authorized faculty personnel of the Río Piedras Campus. To use the system, faculty members must complete the registration process provided in the webpage. The Campus proposes Factum as the mechanism to report the achievements of all faculty members since it only requires a single effort from the professor to supply the information, which will be used for the multiple purposes mentioned.

Factum is accessed through the Web and was designed to be easy to use since it has a simple, uniform and intuitive interface.
