the Office of Academic Planning (OAP)
The
Office of Academic Planning is...
- a service-oriented
office that utilizes objective methods to search, collect and
analyze data to produce information which allows the academic
managers to make well-informed decisions and to develop appropriate
policies.
- responsible
of directing and coordinating the planning processes and the
Campus' undergraduate academic program evaluations.
OAP Functions
- Serve
as the authorized source of reliable and ample information concerning
students, academic programs, courses, schools, faculty and non-faculty
personnel, and services.
- Periodically
obtain data from a variety of sources in the Campus: Admissions,
Registrar, Human Resources and others.
- Proactively
identify and begin objective, systematic and in-depth research
studies of interest and importance to the Institution, including
institutional self-evaluation and policy analysis.
- Maintain
and develop SAGA (data warehouse).
- Maintain
and develop the Factum system.
- Coordinate,
and provide data and technical support for academic program
evaluation and services and incorporate the results into the
planning process.
- Promote
an analytical approach to problem-solving in the decision-making
process.
- Collect,
generate, maintain and disseminate institutional information
to support the planning processes.
- Provide
data and technical support for the assessment of results and
institutional effectiveness.
- Provide
information, consulting and technical support to diverse groups
in order to help them in their planning in support of institutional
effectiveness and outcomes assessment.
