About the
Academic-Administrative Management Support System (SAGA)
What
is it?
- A data
warehouse about students and human resources (with emphasis
on faculty personnel). It contains data extracted from the campus’
Student Information System (SIS) and Human Resources System
(HRS) in an integrated form. The data spans several academic
years.
- A decision
support system that retrieves cumulative data in a convenient
way.
- A database
about the Campus’ faculty achievements.
Where
does it come from?
The system
emerged from the Title V Project’s 2nd Activity which is
titled: “Development of an Institutional Data Management
System to Support Decision Making.”
Which
office is in charge of the conceptualization, design and
maintenance of SAGA?
The Office
of Academic Planning of the Deanship of Academic Affairs of the
Río Piedras Campus of the University of Puerto Rico.
